Season 1 · Episode 01
A personal introduction — from high school love to teenage motherhood to healthcare leadership — and the quiet realization at 45 that building a life doesn't mean you're finished becoming.
In this first episode of Still Building, I share the beginning of my story — meeting my husband at 15, becoming a mother at 17, and growing up quickly in the space between love and responsibility.
I talk about what it meant to build stability early, to become a labor and delivery nurse, and eventually step into healthcare leadership — all while raising three children and navigating marriage across decades.
Now at 45, I'm reflecting on a quieter, more nuanced season of life. When the house begins to empty. When the body begins to shift. When ambition changes shape. When you realize that achievement doesn't end becoming.
This episode is an introduction — not just to me, but to the heart of this podcast.
Still Building is a space for midlife women who have achieved, supported, carried, and led… and are now asking deeper questions about identity, growth, and who they are becoming next.
If you've built a life you're proud of — and still feel like you're evolving — this conversation is for you.
Still Building is a solo podcast about becoming — honestly. Hosted by Faith, the show offers thoughtful reflections on life, identity, motherhood, grief, health, and growth, shared one-to-one like a conversation with a friend.
Early responsibility, teenage motherhood, and how growing up quickly shapes identity, ambition, and resilience.
